As a senior legal professional, Kate has over a decade of experience as a construction law specialist. Her early career years were spent in the construction teams of national law firms before she made the jump in-house to join the Lendlease Building legal team.
There are many things that Kate enjoys about working in this area of law: the diversity of projects, the opportunity to interface with different areas of a business, and that no two days are ever the same. But, most of all, it’s the tangible nature of being able to see the results of a project she has worked on.
When Kate was approached to do some short-term contract work when on maternity leave with her second child, the idea for Constructive Legal was born. As a mum to two young boys, Kate was keen to keep building her career in a way that was professionally rewarding and personally enjoyable. The requirement for flexible, as-needs seamless resourcing that construction law often demands created a perfect opportunity for her to build her practice and work with a variety of clients.
As Constructive Legal continues to grow, Kate hasn’t looked back, and thrives on the challenge of delivering legal services in a cost-effective, reliable and flexible way for her clients.
When Kate’s not at her desk, she enjoys a fast-paced game of netball, catching up with her friends over a meal and spending time with her husband Peter and two young boys, Henry and Elijah.
